Can I contact you before I schedule a session?
Of course, you may schedule a free 10-30 minute consultation to go over any concerns, questions, or needed clarifications. I am happy to communicate and provide you with the clarity and assurance you need before officially scheduling a session.
I have no acting experience whatsoever, how can you help me?
Helping those new to acting brings me immense joy because you have the fortune of a completely stress-free, fun, and new experience. When people think of acting, they tend to think of Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Lupita Nyong’o, Denzel Washington, and other celebrities so it can feel very daunting. However, everyone starts from somewhere and learning the basics can open a world of possibilities for you (even if you’re not on the big screen…yet)!
Should I sign my child up for acting or speech lessons?
Yes! I love working with children and I treat them with the same care and respect I give adults. Whether your child is quiet, adventurous, timid, going through a difficult time, serious about a career in acting, or is just in need of some fun, I want to offer my help in assisting them be the best they can be in any way I can. Please let me know if your child requires any special assistance or care and I will be happy to collaborate on a plan and accommodate them.
I want help for my upcoming undergraduate or internship auditions. Do you offer services for me?
Absolutely. I know the stress of auditioning for 100+ schools and feeling the pressure of choosing the right one. I want to help you every step of the way from choosing schools, initial auditions, resumes, callbacks, time management, interviews, and how to take care of yourself during the grueling waiting period. My goal is to help you grow during the process so that, no matter the outcome, and we truly wish for the best, you are prepared to move forward in either direction. That is important.

I haven’t been writing at all and am nervous about sharing. Will I be judged?
N-O, this is a judgement free zone (except that we make good judgements here). Writing is such an intimate form of expression, and it is very personal. No one should ever make you feel uncomfortable, inadequate, or incapable when sharing. My mission is not to judge you, it is to offer a supportive ear so that we can help you tell the stories you truly want to tell.
I’m nervous and have never been virtually coached (or coached at all). What will it be like, and will you bite?
No, I will not bite! But I will support you and make it my mission to help you feel welcome and appreciated. Your time is precious and we will spend time building our relationship, working on the craft, and checking in on your well-being. It’s all about being yourself, being confident, having fun, being challenged, and growing. We will work together to create the space in which you can thrive and play without fear of disrespect, judgement, or stress.
I have been coached before (or have acting schooling) can you help me?
I would be honored to help you. The great thing about working with experienced actors is that you have an entire playground waiting for your curiosity, imagination, and skill. Sharing a passion for acting is something that will help us find a method of coaching that will push you, stretch you, and take you to a higher level of awareness, instinct, responsiveness, and joy.
How do I schedule?
Scheduling is quick and easy, just select a session above and schedule your time. You will automatically be sent a confirmation, an email and/or text reminder(s), possibly a couple of questions, and a quick form with your identifying information. Lessons are generally scheduled in an hour block. Please leave at least 5 minutes before and 15 minutes after a session for reflection, important updates, or other needed information.
*Please pay attention to the cancellation policy when selecting.
Why virtual sessions?
As we all know, or some of us (unfortunately), COVID-19 has changed a lot of plans. People can’t connect in person as often as they’d like, or at all, and many activities that we were looking forward to were cancelled or postponed. Well, virtual connection is the best thing we have now. Why not share in the joy of acting, speech, and writing from your own home or space? This way, anyone can connect regardless of distance, driving ability, risk of transmission, or that pesky traffic. In a way, I wanted to seize this moment to make lessons more accessible to those who would otherwise lack access to these services. So let’s navigate this weird and crazy world together.
As of 2023, I am starting to offer in-person sessions. These sessions are only available to those in the Louisville/Southern Indiana area.
Do you have an inclusion or anti-racist policy?
Embrace Arts is centered around anti-discrimination, racism, and bias. EA commits to a constant and ongoing deconstructive process of addressing and dismantling bias, combatting ignorance, and building an accountable awareness of daily actions without excuses or blame.
I welcome all people who accept this statement into my space and will work to create a safe, BRAVE space for you to work. I especially welcome those from marginalized communities.
